MACU Foundation Banquet

September 27, 2012

Mid-Atlantic Christian University will hold its annual banquet for its Foundation on October 18 at 5 p.m. on campus in the Chesson Gymnasium.  The annual banquet provides an opportunity for Foundation donors to meet current students who receive scholarships awarded from the Foundation.  The banquet program includes dinner and brief presentations by students and donors.    Foundation Director Sandra Perkins notes that this event is a rewarding time for both the donors and students.  It celebrates the act of giving and helping others while showing respect and thankfulness for gifts received. Some of the students will be able to meet the individuals who have donated funds for the scholarship award they received at the beginning of the semester.   Mid-Atlantic Christian University finds that many students need financial help paying for their college education. According to Perkins, “It is important to have the scholarship funds provided by the Foundation to help attract prospective students.” Students do not have to repay these scholarship awards, which helps lower the amount of loan money students need to borrow.     President Clay Perkins said, “This banquet is...
