Pastor Nick currently serves as Senior Pastor of Galilee Christian Church in Jefferson, Georgia, bringing more than 30 years of ministry experience to his leadership. A graduate of MACU with a Bachelor of Science degree, he furthered his education with a Master of Arts/NT Preaching from Johnson University. Over the course of his career, he has served in a variety of roles, including Youth Minister and Senior Minister, consistently focusing on spiritual formation, discipleship, and community engagement.
Known for his engaging and accessible preaching style, Nick’s sermons blend thoughtful biblical exegesis with relatable storytelling, resonating with audiences both in-person and through online platforms. His teaching emphasizes practical application of Scripture, making complex theological ideas understandable and relevant for everyday life.
In addition to his pastoral work, Mr. Vipperman is an accomplished writer who has contributed to Christian Standard Magazine, as well as various Christian blogs and regional publications in Georgia and North Carolina. His written work often reflects the same approachable tone found in his preaching, offering insight, encouragement, and thoughtful reflection on faith and culture.
Beyond the pulpit, Pastor Nick is known for his multifaceted personality and community involvement. He is a devoted husband and father, an avid runner, a passionate sports fan, and a dedicated volunteer. His self-described experience as a “recovering beekeeper” adds a touch of humor and authenticity that endears him to those he serves and leads.
MACU is also pleased to announce that Pastor Vipperman (Class of 98) will return to campus as the featured guest speaker for the Homecoming Rally on Friday, October 2. His presence highlights the university’s commitment to showcasing alumni who exemplify faithful service, leadership, and lifelong impact.
