Mid-Atlantic Christian University (MACU) will host its 1st Annual International Student Conference on Entrepreneurship, Non-Profits & Missions on April 25, 2026, bringing together students and faculty from across Europe, Latin America, and the United States for a day of academic exchange and global collaboration.
Organized by Global University Institute, a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the conference will welcome participants from France, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Ecuador, and the United States. The event is designed to explore how entrepreneurship, nonprofit leadership, and mission-driven initiatives can generate meaningful social impact in both local and global communities.
The conference will feature student research presentations, faculty-led discussions, and collaborative dialogue centered on ethical entrepreneurship, nonprofit innovation, service-learning, and faith-informed leadership. Participants will engage in cross-cultural conversations aimed at equipping the next generation of leaders to address real-world challenges with integrity, creativity, and purpose.
“It’s been wonderful to see such strong international engagement around themes of entrepreneurship, service, missions, and nonprofit leadership, especially through a faith-informed and globally minded lens,” said Dr. Patrik Skultety, Director of Online Education, Associate Professor of Management, Business Administration Program Academic Advisor, LMS Administrator, and Instructional Designer at MACU. “I’m truly excited about the conversations, student presentations, and cross-cultural exchange this event will foster.”
Dr. Skultety, founder of the conference, emphasized that the event reflects the heart of international education, bringing diverse perspectives together while remaining grounded in shared values and service. “Our students are engaging globally while remaining grounded in purpose, service, and values,” he added.
By hosting the 1st Annual International Student Conference, MACU continues to strengthen its commitment to global engagement, experiential learning, and the integration of faith, scholarship, and service. The partnership with Global University Institute underscores a shared mission to empower students through education, cross-cultural collaboration, and leadership development.
The 1st Annual International Student Conference on Entrepreneurship, Non-Profits & Missions marks the beginning of what is envisioned as an ongoing global academic tradition connecting students, institutions, and communities across borders through entrepreneurship, nonprofit leadership, and mission-focused innovation.
