Youth Pastor

Description of Position/Benefits/Church:

Youth Pastor (Volunteer / Unpaid)
First Church of Christ (FCOC) – Georgetown, Illinois
Help Shape the Next Generation in a Church Experiencing New Life
First Church of Christ (FCOC) in Georgetown, Illinois is seeking a passionate, relational, and mission-minded Youth Pastor to help lead and disciple students during an exciting season of growth and momentum.

Over the last 6 months, God has been moving in incredible ways at FCOC:

• Average attendance has increased by over 100%
• We’ve celebrated 7 baptisms
• New discipleship classes are helping people grow in their faith and get involved
• Our youth ministry has grown from just 5 students to consistently seeing 25–30 students each gathering

This is more than a volunteer position — it’s a rare opportunity to step into a thriving ministry environment with tremendous community support and kingdom potential.
Why This Opportunity Is Unique
For more than 100 years, FCOC has been a trusted and established presence in the Georgetown community. Today, we are seeing renewed energy, vision, and excitement as families and students are finding hope and connection through Jesus.

One of the most exciting aspects of this role is the opportunity to partner directly with local school leadership. FCOC has built strong relationships with area school principals, creating open doors to connect with students where they are and become a positive influence in their everyday lives.

We are also in the beginning stages of launching a new Wednesday afterschool program designed to reach students in a deeper way and build healthy, meaningful relationships throughout our community. This program will create opportunities for mentorship, encouragement, discipleship, and connection with students who may never otherwise walk through the doors of a church.

For the right leader, this means the opportunity to help shape and build something from the ground up during a pivotal season of growth and outreach.

If you have a heart for students, discipleship, outreach, and building authentic relationships, this is an incredible place to serve.
About the Youth Ministry
Our youth ministry currently meets:

• Sunday Evenings
• Wednesday Evenings

What started as a small group of 5 students just 6 months ago has quickly become a growing and energetic ministry reaching 25–30 students weekly. Students are inviting friends, families are getting connected, and momentum continues to build.

We are looking for someone who can help cultivate that momentum into lasting discipleship and life change.
Responsibilities
• Build meaningful relationships with middle and high school students
• Lead and organize weekly youth gatherings
• Help develop and shape the new Wednesday afterschool outreach program
• Teach biblically grounded and engaging lessons
• Create an environment where students feel welcomed, known, and challenged in their faith
• Partner with parents and church leadership
• Develop outreach opportunities within the community and local schools
• Invest in student leaders and discipleship
What We’re Looking For
• A growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• A passion for students and discipleship
• Strong relational and communication skills
• Energy, initiative, and a heart for outreach
• Ability to work alongside church leadership and volunteers
• Experience in youth ministry is helpful, but passion and character matter most
Support & Community
While this is a volunteer/unpaid position, FCOC is committed to helping the right person succeed both in ministry and in life. We will actively help the individual:

• Connect with employment opportunities in the area
• Build relationships within the community
• Find the support and encouragement needed to thrive personally and spiritually

We want this role to be more than a position — we want it to become a meaningful partnership in ministry and community life.
Important Details
• Position Type: Volunteer / Unpaid
• Location: Georgetown, Illinois
• Schedule: Sunday & Wednesday evenings, plus relationship-building opportunities throughout the week
• Full job description available upon request
Join Us
This is a unique chance to step into a ministry that is already growing rapidly and help shape what God is doing in a small-town community hungry for hope and connection.

Position Hiring:

Camp Director of Operations

Description of Position/Benefits/Church:

Now Hiring: Director of Operations
Park Springs Christian Camp
Park Springs Christian Camp is a place where lives are changed, friendships are formed, and faith grows. We’re looking for someone who’s ready to step into a hands-on, mission-driven role that blends leadership, service, and a love for camp life.

What You’ll Be Doing
This role is at the heart of everything that happens on the campgrounds, from the big picture vision to the everyday details.
You’ll lead the daily operations of the camp, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely. You’ll collaborate with retreat leaders and camp deans to create meaningful, spiritually enriching experiences. You’ll also serve as a bridge between the camp and the supporting churches, sharing updates, building relationships, and helping grow the ministry.
You’ll oversee facilities, grounds, and maintenance, keeping everything clean, functional, and ready for guests. From managing repairs and supervising staff to coordinating volunteers and summer teams, you’ll be in the middle of it all.
This role also includes organizing registrations, handling camper logistics, managing waivers and insurance, and ensuring smooth transitions between groups. You’ll guide kitchen operations, assist with meal planning (and even cook for smaller retreats), and oversee the camp canteen.
Beyond daily operations, you’ll help promote the camp year-round, organize workdays, support fundraising efforts, and manage a budget averaging $250,000, with care and integrity.
And yes, you’ll even help oversee the climbing tower, zipline, and a 61,000-gallon pool!!! (training and certification included where needed)

Who We’re Looking For
You don’t just work at camp, you love camp.
We’re looking for someone who brings energy, initiative, and a heart for ministry. Someone who can lead a team, solve problems, and still jump in wherever needed.
A genuine passion for camp ministry
Strong leadership with an encouraging, team-first attitude
Detail-oriented with the ability to take initiative
Comfortable with hands-on work and physical activity
Experience with camp leadership is highly valued
CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to be trained)
Familiarity with climbing wall safety and pool operations is a plus

What to Expect Physically
This is not just a desk job.
You’ll be on your feet, lifting, moving, building, fixing, and serving throughout the day. It’s active and demanding work, but incredibly rewarding.

Why This Role Matters
This is about developing lives.
Every clean cabin, every safe activity, every organized retreat creates space for someone to encounter Christ in a meaningful way. Your leadership will help ensure that Park Springs continues to grow, thrive, and impact generations to come.

Ready to Step In?
If you’re ready to lead, serve, and make a lasting difference in a Christ-centered camp environment, we’d love to hear from you.
