At Mid-Atlantic Christian University (MACU), servant leadership is more than a concept, it is our calling. Recently, MACU students exemplified this by partnering with Ferocious Fighters, a nonprofit founded by MACU student Patrick Boland. Patrick, who lives with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), transformed his personal challenges into a mission of hope, reaching over 3,000 children in 29 countries. Together, they assemble “Ferocious Fighter Kits”—care packages filled with blankets, handwritten notes, and comforting items to support children battling CRPS. This collaboration not only provides tangible comfort but also fosters a global community of understanding and faith. Patrick’s journey and the students’ involvement reflect the heart of MACU’s commitment to making a meaningful impact beyond the classroom.
