Current Giving Campaigns
Dear Friends,
There’s a saying, When you pray for rain, make sure you carry an umbrella.
April is a season of renewal. Showers prepare the ground for growth. But growth does not happen by hope alone. It requires preparation, stewardship, and action. Today we find ourselves in one of those defining moments.
To meet this year’s obligations and position the university for long-term stability, we must raise $815,000 before June 30, 2026. This goal reflects both immediate operational needs and critical campus improvements that directly affect our students’ quality of life.
These funds will close the remaining gap in our annual operating budget and address essential deferred maintenance, including replacement of 11 HVAC units in residence halls, roof repairs on the Blanton Center to prevent further structural damage, elevator repairs and upgrades to meet required ADA compliance standards, and strategic improvements to our IT infrastructure to strengthen connectivity and security.
These are not cosmetic upgrades. They are investments in safety, accessibility, comfort, and the overall quality of campus life. Our facilities shape student morale, influence family confidence, and impact retention. When families entrust us with their sons, daughters, or grandchildren, they trust us to provide an environment that reflects excellence and care.
When this college was founded, faculty and staff rolled up their sleeves and built much of what we still use today. That pioneering spirit shaped our identity. In 2026, building codes and OSHA regulations have evolved significantly. Liability exposure is real, and workers’ compensation requirements must be honored. Projects once handled internally now require licensed professionals, regulated compliance, and significant financial investment. Faithfulness today means not just hard work, but also responsible stewardship.
Deferred maintenance left unaddressed grows more costly and disruptive. Addressed now, it strengthens student life and preserves our mission for the next generation. We are committed to establishing a sustainable plan of ongoing care of our facilities.
These needs are not optional enhancements. They are the umbrellas we must carry if we truly believe in the future of this institution.
Your generosity today is an investment in stability, student experience, family confidence, long-term sustainability, and faithful stewardship. If we come together with courage and conviction, we will do more than meet a budget goal. We will reinforce the foundation upon which lives are transformed.
When we pray for rain, we carry the umbrella. Will you help us carry it?
With gratitude and determination,
