Network Access

Each dorm room has access to two network ports. These ports are connected upon request. Wired network access for student computers is not available outside Pearl A. Presley Hall or Harold C. Turner Hall.

Wired/wireless routers are not allowed on the MACUnet network. Students that need more ethernet jacks can use a switch; typically available at Wal-Mart, Office Max, or any number of online retailers. The MACU IT Policy governs all network related activity.

MACUnet wireless is available in the following locations:

Pearl A. Presley Hall
Heritage Hall
Student Life Center
Albert C. Blanton III Campus Life Center
Faith Hall
Wilkinson Hall

The MACUnet wireless network no longer supports IEEE 802.11b standards; only the IEEE 802.11g and/or 802.11n standard for wireless LANs are supported.

Voice

Each dorm room have access to one telephone jack. Phones are available by request.
