Mid-Atlantic Christian University is pleased to announce that Rodney Wooten will join the staff at Mid-Atlantic Christian University beginning August 2, 2021. Mr. Wooten will serve full-time as the Library Director.
Raised in Alabama and a resident of eastern NC for the past five years, Mr. Wooten brings an impressive background of experiences for directing the library services at MACU. He earned his undergraduate degree from Faulkner University in Human Resources and an advanced degree from the University of Alabama in Library Information Studies.
His work experience has included being the library director at College of the Albemarle in Elizabeth City for the immediate past five years, the library director at Ohio Valley University, and he has worked in a public library in Alabama.
In addition to making a career by working in libraries, Mr. Wooten is the preacher at Bayside Church of Christ in Elizabeth City, since 2016. Having been a track and field athlete at Auburn University, he has used that skill and experience to coach track and field and cross-country for Currituck County Public Schools. He is married and has 4 adult children. The university is excited to welcome Rodney Wooten to the school this coming fall.
