Beth L. Strecker to join the staff at Mid-Atlantic Christian University
Mid-Atlantic Christian University is pleased to announce that Beth Strecker will be joining the staff at Mid-Atlantic Christian University at the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year. Dr. Strecker will serve full-time as the Library Director.
Raised in North Carolina and a long-time resident of eastern NC, Dr. Strecker brings an impressive background of experiences for directing the library services at MACU. She has earned degrees from UNC Wilmington in Middle Grades Education and advanced degrees from East Carolina University in Library Science and Educational Leadership. Dr. Strecker will also contribute to the university’s teacher education program by assisting teacher education candidates to gain proficiency in instructional technology.
Her work experience has included being the technology director for Elizabeth City Pasquotank Public Schools, school media specialist in Camden and Currituck County Schools, and middle school teacher in the subjects of math and science in four school systems in NC. Most recently, she has served as an assistant professor at East Carolina University in the department of library science.
Dr. Strecker is active in a local church in Camden, NC and serves in the church in a variety of ministries. The university is excited to welcome Beth Strecker to the school this coming fall.
