Elizabeth City, NC – September 17, 2015. President D. Clay Perkins is pleased to announce that Carol Stuart has been named Vice President for Finance for Mid-Atlantic Christian University, effectively immediately.
Mrs. Stuart has tirelessly served MACU since 1988. She originally served in the office of Academic Affairs but has worked in the Office of Finance since 1997. Carol has been a valuable asset to Mid-Atlantic serving as Accounts Manager (1997-2005) and as Assistant Vice President for Finance (2005-2015).
She holds a M.A. in Management from Regent University and a B.S. in Christian Education, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mid-Atlantic Christian University. She has done additional studies at Nova University (Computers & Technology), Portland State University (Computers and Technology) and Delaware Community College (Accounting).
Mrs. Stuart has earned numerous professional certifications and holds memberships in the North Carolina Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, National Association of Colleges and University Business Offices and Association of Business Administrators of Christian Colleges.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Carol is a minister’s wife and fulfills many vital roles at the South Mills Church of Christ in South Mills, North Carolina. Carol and Ron have three children and six grandchildren.
