About Dr. Ajai Livingstone Lall, MACU 2
Dr. Ajai Livingstone Lall is the founder of Central India Christian Mission (CICM) and Christian Medical Training Center (CMTC). He has been the longest-standing president of the Evangelical Fellowship of India (EFI). He is the main speaker of Hindi Church Online which reaches around 13 million viewers through various social media platforms every week. Along with his wife, Dr. Indu Lall, Ajai has faithfully served for over four decades. His heart is to carry the love of Jesus to heal broken spaces.
The impact of the work has led to a God-sized vision. During the pandemic, the 150 bedded Mission Hospital in Damoh was the only place that did not run out of oxygen because it was the one place in that area of Central India with an operational Oxygen Generating Plant. This Mission Hospital has the only Cath Lab of its kind to serve a population of over 17 million people. There are three fully equipped operational theaters and an ICU unit, including a 24/7 emergency and trauma center.
Under Dr. Lall’s leadership, there have been 857 graduates from the College of Nursing between 2002 and 2023. Graduates represent every state of India and alumni are spread across 7 countries, including: UAE, England, Scotland, Australia, Germany, Canada, and the United States.
Leadership training has always been a significant part of Dr. Lall’s calling. In 2003, he helped establish Calvary International Biblical Academy (CIBA). Between 2003 and 2023, CIBA sent out 22,038 graduates to different parts of the globe. Students represent five countries and 12 language groups. To aid these leaders, CICM has helped publish 126 books in 11 different languages.
Dr. Lall has focused on caring for individuals in a way that the outcast feel blessed and the marginalized know that they are protected, uplifted, and empowered. For his service to lepers, widows, children, flood relief victims, and families affected by earthquakes, Dr. Lall has been recognized by President George W. Bush and President Clinton at the White House in Washington D.C., but as Christ pointed out in Mark 6:4, sometimes a leader has unique struggles in his own home. In 2022, when antagonism against Christians was at its height, some people started rioting and burning effigies of Dr. Lall. Not a single one of them was arrested. Matters went up to the Supreme Court of India and God continues to pave pathways to build future leaders.
Through all the victories and challenges, God has always made His presence known in Ajai’s life. The church in America has played a crucial role in all that has been accomplished. Ajai and Indu remain grateful for your significant role in sharing the love that builds trust and restores broken spaces.
