Mid-Atlantic Christian University is honored to host the Pioneer Bible Translators’ Bible Translation Display, a compelling and educational exhibit open to the public on June 24 and 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a special presentation on June 26 at 7:00 p.m. All events will take place in the Alligood Dining Hall on the MACU campus in Elizabeth City, NC. This immersive experience offers a unique opportunity to witness the global reach and ongoing mission of Bible translation.
This interactive display, developed by Pioneer Bible Translators, showcases over 50 translated Scriptures from 30 countries, reaching an estimated 189 million language speakers. It powerfully represents the cultural and linguistic diversity of God’s Word while casting vision for the translation work still unfinished symbolized by empty stands representing language groups still waiting to receive Scripture.
The event holds special meaning for Mid-Atlantic Christian University as it highlights the contributions of Buddy Holloway, a distinguished MACU alumnus and a driving force in the global Bible translation movement. Buddy will be joined by his wife, Danielle Holloway, as they share their journey and passion for bringing the Bible to every people group on earth.
“This display helps us see the scope of the Great Commission with our own eyes,” said MACU President John Maurice. “It challenges us to think globally, act missionally, and recognize the urgent need for Scripture in every language.”
