Wednesday, October 5, 12:15–1 p.m. Professor Robert Smith, Professor of Bible and History at Mid-Atlantic Christian University, will speak at the Museum of the Albemarle (located in Elizabeth City) on discoveries from the Byzantine Empire and the Umayyad Dynasty that have been exposed at the Abila of the Decapolis Excavation, where he is associate director, in northern Jordan. The Museum of the Albemarle encourages attendees to bring a sack lunch and they will provide drinks. The museum is located in Elizabeth City at 501 S. Water Street.
