Brief Biography:
I am deeply committed to living a purpose-driven life one centered on serving God, growing into the best version of myself, and making a meaningful impact in all that I do. I am passionate about higher education because I believe a college degree is more than an academic milestone, it is a powerful, life-changing achievement that opens doors to leadership, service, and the opportunity to glorify God through one’s calling.
As a strong advocate for faith-based education, I understand the vital role that Christian universities play in nurturing both the mind and the spirit. These institutions foster environments where students are not only academically challenged but spiritually equipped to live out God’s greater purpose for their lives. Through small class sizes, personalized mentorship, and a Christ-centered mission, faith-based institutions help students thrive and become leaders who serve the world and further God’s Kingdom.
Professionally, I bring a broad range of experience across industries. I began my career in advertising sales and later transitioned into the insurance sector, where I developed valuable skills in risk management and strategic planning. Over the past 20 years, I’ve also been deeply involved in community service, volunteering on local boards and helping to connect people with the resources they need.
For the past nine years, I have worked in higher education, serving in multiple roles across departments including marketing, advancement, enrollment, the provost’s office, and the chancellor’s office. These diverse experiences have given me a comprehensive understanding of how a university functions and how each department plays a role in supporting its mission.
At Mid-Atlantic Christian University (MACU), I serve as Director of Institutional Advancement. In this role, I lead efforts in fundraising, alumni engagement, marketing, and public relations to support the university’s mission of equipping extraordinary Christian leaders. I am especially focused on building meaningful relationships, securing funding, and creating awareness that strengthens the university’s foundation and impact. One of our current priorities is reconnecting with alumni and supporters while also seeking new partnerships and grant opportunities to support campus growth.
I am a lifelong learner and hold three degrees: an Associate’s in Liberal Arts from Alpena Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Elizabeth City State University, and an MBA from Fayetteville State University.
I’ve been blessed with a loving family, my husband, Josh, and I have been married for over 20 years, and we are proud parents of two wonderful children, Juliette and Xander, who keep us busy with school activities and sports.
I’m honored to be part of the MACU community and inspired daily by those who have faithfully served the university since its founding. Their dedication reflects the heart of our mission and the enduring impact of Christ-centered education.
