Tracy Wooten to join the faculty at Mid-Atlantic Christian University

Mid-Atlantic Christian University is pleased to announce that Tracy Wooten will join the faculty at Mid-Atlantic Christian University beginning January 2, 2023. Dr. Wooten will serve full-time as Associate Professor of Business Administration.

Dr. Wooten was born in Chattanooga, TN and remained there until she accepted a position in health care management. She has general manager experience in various medical centers located in Alabama and Virginia. She has also worked as the director of human resources and finance for multiple organizations. In addition to hands-on, real-world experience in various aspects of business administration, she has also taught full-time at the University of West Virginia at Parkersburg and Ohio Valley University. She currently is an adjunct instructor for Liberty University with additional responsibilities to oversee dissertations for doctoral students. This current fall semester she is an adjunct for MACU in the course “Human Resource Management.”

She earned her baccalaureate degree in management of human resources from Faulkner University. She holds a masters of business administration (specialization in human resources) from South University. She completed her Ph.D. from Capella University in business management with a specialization in human resources.  Her dissertation focused upon managers’ hiring practices of people with disabilities.

Dr. Wooten is married with three children and is an active member of the Bayside Church of Christ. She enjoys traveling and walking on the beach but most of all, she enjoys teaching and working with students to achieve their goals and objectives. The university is excited to welcome Tracy Wooten to the school, full-time, this coming spring semester.
