Mid-Atlantic Christian University will reopen Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE —- Mid-Atlantic Christian University will reopen Tuesday morning, Aug. 30. All classes and all services will resume, starting with breakfast.

All employees are to return to work on Monday, Aug. 29. Employees should use their own discretion as to safety.

Pressley Hall will reopen at 4 p.m. on Monday, Aug 29, 2011, to returning students. The first cafeteria meal will be served Monday night, Aug 29, 2011, at 5 p.m.

Students in areas affected by Hurricane Irene that have no power and/or water are welcome to return to Pressley Hall early, but they must notify Chris Stanley, Campus Minister, prior to their return. You can reach Mr. Stanley at chris.stanley@macuniversity.edu or 1.804-357-8493 or 1-252-334-2043.

Please join us in praying for all those affected by Hurricane Irene. Mid-Atlantic Christian University takes appropriate steps to ensure the safety and security of the Mid-Atlantic family. Currently the University has students from fifteen states and multiple countries.

Mid-Atlantic Christian University wishes to publicly thank New Life Church of Christ, Roanoke Rapids, NC, for housing multiple dorm students during this storm. We greatly appreciate all the calls/contacts of concern during this event. The University has minor damage throughout the campus from Hurricane Irene. Elizabeth City has also fared well during the storm.

When changes in operating hours or other University services become necessary, the University will communicate in a timely manner.
