MINISTRY DESCRIPTION
Higher Purpose Church (HPC) is an Assemblies of God ministry that prioritizes family, outreach,
and ministerial excellence. HPC strives to be extremely relevant, non-traditional and
intentionally pragmatic. HPC’s culture can be characterized as fun, nonpolitical, continuously
improving and hard working. Leadership is highly valued, teamwork is often required and
flexibility is often needed in daily ministry activities.
The Ministry Systems Director (MSD) reports to the Senior Pastor. The MSD will build,
implement and oversee church systems as directed by the Senior Pastor to expand the ministry
of HPC. The MSD will also oversee targeted ministries from time to time.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Systems Development
● Building church systems and healthy teams
● Recruiting and overseeing recruiting of new team members
● Identifying opportunities for improvement and designing effective solutions
● Coaching leaders to excellence
● Ensure systems are documented and maintained (job descriptions, instructions, etc.)
Provide Ministerial Leadership
● Must model a deep commitment to Jesus.
● Must be committed to the mission, vision, and values of Higher Purpose Church.
● Be willing and able to coach and correct volunteers.
● Hold leaders accountable for commitments
● Ensure teams are healthy with trained leaders, assistants and ministry plans
● Celebrate accomplishments
● Support their teams and Team Leaders
● Drive for results
● Lead teams overseen (execute strategy, encourage team, etc.)
Daily responsibilities:
● Pray daily for their Team Leaders by name
● Mentor Team Leaders
● Work with Team Leaders to set and accomplish goals
● Ensure the necessary resources to achieve goals that have been established
● Guide new Team Members from entry level involvement to leadership roles in their areas
of ministry.
● Oversee reporting systems and regular status reports

● Ensure regular communication occurs with team members
● Ensure pastoral care is administered for all team members
● Organize team-building rallies (hangouts) for their teams, such as: picnics, parties, or
other simple get-togethers
Requirements
● Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
● Lifelong learning (books, conferences, etc.)
● Strong leadership skills
● Minimum 2 years experience in ministry leadership
● Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
● Able to resolve conflicts in love
● Self-starter
● Accepts feedback/constructive criticism
● Team Player
Desired Experiences
● Leadership experience within a ministry of 200+ people
● Bachelor’s degree (ministry or theology degree a plus)
● Experience in multi-cultural church setting
Background Check
● Candidates will be required to arrange reference calls with previous supervisors
● Criminal background checks will be conducted
Job Type:
● Full-Time or Part-Time
● Hybrid Remote & In-Person
● Sundays on site required
Compensation:
● Salary: $35-45,000 / year
● 2 weeks of vacation
● 10 paid holidays
