Job Title: Senior Minister

make disciples who make a difference by living out the love of God, engaging in meaningful
worship, and serving our local and global communities. We are seeking a Senior Minister who
will lead us into a new season of growth, revitalization, and outreach.
Position Overview:
The Senior Minister will serve as the primary spiritual leader of Eastern Pines Church, providing
vision, leadership, and pastoral care to the congregation. This individual will be responsible for
preaching, teaching, shepherding, and equipping the church body to fulfill its mission. As the
Senior Minister, you will work closely with the church staff, leadership team, and congregation
to foster an environment of spiritual health and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preaching and Teaching
o Prepare and deliver biblically sound, relevant, and inspiring messages for weekly
worship services.
o Lead and teach Bible studies, discipleship groups, and adult education classes.
o Promote and cultivate a commitment to the study of Scripture and prayer
throughout the congregation.

2. Visionary Leadership
o Cast a compelling vision for the church's growth, outreach, and ministry
priorities.
o Work with the Elders/Church Staff to set long-term goals and implement
strategies for church development.
o Encourage and facilitate a collaborative leadership culture among staff,
volunteers, and church members.

3. Pastoral Care
o Provide spiritual guidance, counseling, and support for individuals and families in
times of need.
o Perform weddings, baptisms, funerals, and other pastoral duties as necessary.
o Ensure the spiritual well-being of the congregation through regular visits and
outreach to members, especially those who are sick, grieving, or in crisis.

4. Staff Development and Management
o Lead, support, and mentor church staff, ensuring a healthy and productive work
environment.
o Oversee church programs, ensuring alignment with the church's vision and
mission.
o Recruit, train, and empower volunteers to take on leadership roles in various
ministry areas.

5. Community Engagement and Outreach
o Promote and support local and global missions, outreach initiatives, and
community service projects.
o Foster relationships with local organizations, businesses, and other churches to
further the church's presence and impact in the community.

6. Administration and Coordination
o Oversee church operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and
communication.
o Collaborate with church leaders to plan and execute major church events,
services, and programs.
o Ensure that the church maintains its legal, financial, and biblical responsibilities.

Qualifications:
 Education: A 4-year degree from an accredited Christian University or higher.
 Experience: At least 5-7 years of pastoral ministry experience, including experience in
preaching, teaching, and leadership roles. Experience in leading a multi-staff church is a
plus.
 Spiritual Maturity: A deep and vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ, along
with a commitment to living out the Christian faith with integrity.
 Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and equip a church body. Strong
interpersonal skills and experience working with diverse groups of people.
 Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a passion for
preaching and teaching God’s Word.
 Theological Alignment: A strong understanding of and commitment to biblical
principles and practices. An adherence to the Restoration Movement is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:
 Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. ($90,000-$!20,000)
 Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, paid time
