GivingMACU Names 2017 Teacher of the Year

Mid-Atlantic Christian University is pleased to announce that Ms. Abigail Mirau, Assistant Professor of English Composition, has been chosen by her peers to be MACU's 2016-2017 Teacher of the Year.
Ms. Mirau was particularly praised for (a) her engagement in student life, (b) her willingness to try new teaching strategies, (c) her efforts/commitment to working with students outside of the designated class time; and, (d) her genuine care about individuals, as reasons for the honor. We are grateful that Ms. Mirau is part of the MACU family.
Ms. Mirau will be acknowledged with this award on Wednesday, May 3rd at 5:00 p.m. here on the MACU campus when the Elizabeth City Area Chamber of Commerce honors teacher of the year designees from across the area. The public is welcome to attend this recognition service in the Albert Blanton III Campus Life Center here at MACU.
