Lieutenant Governor Dan Forest to Speak at MACU Convocation on August 22

 

Elizabeth City, NC – August 14, 2017.  Mid-Atlantic Christian University is pleased to announce that North Carolina’s Lieutenant Governor, Dan Forest, will speak at this year’s Convocation Chapel on August 22 at 9:30 a.m. in the Davenport Chapel. 

 

Lieutenant Governor Forest was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia.  He is the 34th and current Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina, a position he has held since January 7, 2013.  He serves as President of the state Senate and is a voting member of the State Board of Education, the State Board of Community Colleges, the state Economic Development Board and is the chair of the eLearning Commission.

 

Forest holds a B.A, in architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a M.A. from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, College of Architecture.  He is a former senior partner of Little Diversified Architectural Consulting.
