First Christian Church, in Roanoke Rapids, NC, is a community of believers that seeks to connect people to Christ and to one another. Our current youth minister has served with us for over five years. He is leaving to go to his home congregation. He has developed a healthy and growing ministry that is primed for the next person to step in and continue this growth.

The ideal candidate is one who is seeking to be conformed into the image of Christ and has a passion to help others to do the same.  The Youth Minister is to serve the congregation with love, joy, wisdom, and humbleness.  He is to be a man of God, who lives his life in obedience with the teaching of Scripture and the example of our Lord.  He is to be an example to the believers in personal godliness (I Timothy 4:12) and to illustrate God’s requirements for a leader in the church, which includes maintaining a proper Christian home (I Timothy 3:1-7).  He is to lead our youth, adult leaders, and the lost toward a saving and growing relationship with Christ.  His primary responsibility will be to our Junior and Senior High Youth, though as part of a ministry team, he will be expected to serve where needed. You would be joining a team that consists of a lead minister, an office administrator, a part-time early childhood ministries director, a part-time elementary ministries director, and a part-time worship director.
