Watermarke Church is seeking applicants for a Summer Internship in youth ministry.

Responsibilities may include:

  1. Planning/Teaching for Sunday Morning Breakout/Evening Youth Services
  2. Planning and executing Special Activities for the Summer
  3. Planning/executing mid-week youth bible study
  4. Involvement in Mission’s Planning/Fundraising for 2016 Local Mission
  5. Attend Youth Leaders Monthly Meetings
  6. Involvement with Sylvan Hills Camp

Requirements for Position:

-          Applicant should be working towards or having achieved a degree in youth ministry.

-          If necessary, the internship will be customized to meet the requirements of any college credit internship program.

-          Driver’s license and vehicle required

-          Background check and all clearances necessary, in accordance with Watermarke Church policy and procedures and under the law in the state of Pennsylvania (for successful applicant, fees covered by church).

Duration of Internship:

-          8-10 weeks (Negotiable)

Provided Allowances:

-          Housing

-          $150.00 weekly stipend

Youth Minister

Gaston Christian Church (Belmont, NC) is seeking a full time person to lead our Youth and Children into a closer walk with Jesus Christ.  We are looking for someone who has a solid doctrinal background, teaching and relational skills across all age groups, organizational and leadership abilities and a contagious personality.  Duties include teaching children and youth, recruiting and mentoring volunteers and organizing classes and activities for all youth.  Although GCC is a small church (100 avg.), we are able to offer a competitive compensation package and are poised for continued growth.

Student Minister

Who we are:

Stafford County Christian Church (SCCC) is a non-denominational church located approximately 45 minutes south of Washington DC. Stafford County is a significant suburb of the Capital with a very large and growing population, and benefits from all the latest technological advancements. We also have a large military presence which is reflected in our church body demographics. The community surrounding the church is growing rapidly and offers incredible ministry opportunities. At this time, plans and construction are already in motion to add an additional 2900 homes in the area immediately surrounding SCCC. This explosion of growth is also seen in our middle and high schools. Within five miles of SCCC we have 5500 high school students at three schools and 2800 middle school students at three schools. We’re excited about what that means for outreach and discipling opportunities. The vision of SCCC is “To create Christ followers who are bold for Christ.”

 

What we are looking for:

We are prayerfully seeking a full-time student minister, and desire to find someone who is passionate to reach, disciple, and equip this generation to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and to see students on mission to reach the lost. The primary area of focus will be to oversee and coordinate all areas in the middle and high school ministry, grades 6-12. Candidates will be given the opportunities to hone other ministerial skills under the mentorship of the Senior Minister. One example of these opportunities could be preaching 3-5 times a year.

 

Primary Commitments:

  • To be a catalyst, with an energetic, infectious personality who leads students (of all walks of life) to a deep-rooted faith in Christ Jesus
  • Build strong relationships with the students, parents, and student leaders
  • Encourage students to become mature in Christ through Biblical teaching, discipleship, evangelism, and service
  • Create and implement weekly student services that provide exciting worship, Bible study, and engaging life groups  

                                 

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position the applicant must:

 

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in full-time student ministry
  • Have strong Christian character, belief that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, and live out a solid Christ-like example
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a passion for excellence and continuous development in all areas of ministry
  • Be a strategic thinker who is able to create and successfully implement new programs
  • Be able to collaborate with fellow staff toward the common church vision
  • Have a teachable spirit, humble heart, and a bold passion to disciple our students in Christ
  • Be able to adapt to the needs of SCCC and its ever-increasing number of students
  • Be committed to the Biblical positions of the independent Christian Churches / Churches of Christ

 

Key Areas of Focus:

  • Recruiting, training, discipling, and multiplying both leaders and students
  • Partner with parents to be the primary influencer in the life of students
  • Develop student events that are outreach focused and have appeal to draw the unsaved
  • Coordinate and provide regular social, outreach, and service events
  • Provide retreats, conferences, and camps
  • Establish and maintain operational procedures for student ministry and an accountability structure through which safety and growth are maintained

 

Youth Leader Development:

  • Lead the leaders with passion, excitement, and vision
  • Identify, recruit, train, place and empower new leaders into the ministry
  • Set up monthly meetings to collaborate in creating, developing, implementing, and continually assessing the effectiveness of an enticing, passionate student ministry

Full-time Youth Minister

St. Clair’s Church of Christ is searching for a full-time youth minister. We are located in Beaufort County and the community of Bath, North Carolina. Sunday morning attendance ranges from 165-200 and we have about 50 children, birth through 12th grade. Salary will range from $30,000-$40,000 depending upon experience.

The youth minister shall be a well-trained, ordained minister committed to Jesus Christ, the Lord’s church and to ministry with young people and their families. The Youth Minister shall possess the administrative skills necessary to perform his duties and carry out details as well as the interpersonal, relational skills for working with young people and adults.

The Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Recruit, train, encourage and support lay people in the various volunteer ministries of working with young people in the church.

2. Support young people and adults in planning and programming evening and weekend activities.

3. Provide for the spiritual growth of youth.

4. Work with the youth ministry team to coordinate a ministry within the total church.

5. Build relationships with the parents of young people in the youth groups.

6. Work with adult volunteers and other members of the congregation to make youth ministry an effective effort.

7. In the event the Preaching Minister is away, the youth minister may be called upon to fill the pulpit or teach adults.

8. Work as a professional under the direction of the Elders, Deacons and Preaching Minister.

Full-time Youth Minister

We are looking for someone who has a passion for ministering to Youth and a heart for children to serve as our Youth Minister. It should be their goal to help our students grow into lifelong Disciples of Christ. The main focus of the position is to minister to our youth while overseeing our children’s ministry.

It is expected that you will build relationships with them and their families. And work to aid parents in teaching their faith at home. The youth minister will also need to recruit all needed volunteers, provide them with direction, biblical instruction, encouragement, materials for teaching, and build relationships with them.

Shiloh Baptist Church

Shiloh Baptist Church Youth Ministry Intern This position is a learning opportunity through relational ministry to elementary through high school students. The intern will also spend time in general ministry with the pastor. The intern ministry provides the chance to gain practical ministry training work in an atmosphere of personal and professional guidance and support, test their gifts and call to vocational ministry, and develop spiritually and theologically. It also allows Shiloh Baptist to be involved in shepherding the next generation of pastors and leaders in Kingdom ministry.

Overview of duties and job description:

• Be growing spiritually in all areas of Christian life with character in line with 1 st Timothy 3, Titus 1, and 1st Peter.

• Be a male student or married couple in college or seminary preparing for the ministry. • Assist in the planning, coordination, and operation of the Youth Ministry.

• Teach in the Youth ministry on Sunday evenings.

• Assist and participate in the leadership of the Youth Advisory Committee.

• Develop relationships and communications with the parents of involved Youth.

• Assist in preparing and administrating the Youth’s ministry budget.

• Be flexible and teachable.

• Assist the pastor and deacons as available to develop ministry skills.

• This is a part-time position of approximately 10 hours a week with a stipend.

• The Youth Ministry Intern is under the immediate supervision of the Pastor.

• Affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
