Full-time Youth/Associate Minister

We here at the New Castle Christian Church are current in the process of looking for a full-time Youth/Associate Minister, seeking a motivated, self-starting individual to work with our leadership team and our Senior Minister to lead our youth and to be a mentor to the young both within our church and our community. This position requires a love for Christ and his church, a strong relationship with youth and children, an understanding of the stresses and trials they face in their daily lives, and an ability to connect with them on a personal level as well as the ability and personal desire to lead them in their walk with Christ, helping them to know and understand His love and His purpose for their lives. A strong presence and a willingness to participate in community activities is a must. A love and ability for preaching is also necessary to be considered as an applicant for this position.

Full-time Children's Minister-Nursery through 5th grade

Rich Acres Christian Church is located in Martinsville, Virginia and we average 325 people on Sundays. We currently have a staff that consists of a Preaching Minister, Minister of Worship, and a Youth Minister. We are looking for a full time Children's Minister to join our team who will be over Nursery through 5th grade. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a great Church and ministry team. Here is a job description:
  1.  Director of Kid’s Worship on Sundays for Current (8:30am service) and Traditional (10:45      
     service)
  • Responsible for:
    • Recruiting Volunteers.
    • Training Volunteers.
    • Choosing Curriculum.
    • Directing the Week to Week Programming. 
    • Teaching when needed.
2.  Director of our Nurseries.
  • Responsible for: 
    • Recruiting Volunteers.
    • Training workers.
    • Insuring safety in rooms (i.e. light switch & outlet covers, furniture, toys, etc)
    • Help with scheduling volunteers and making sure nurseries are staffed.
    • Curriculum.
    • Make sure each age group has adequate room and facilities.
3.  Director of Sunday Night Children’s Programs.
  • Responsible for:
    • Recruiting Volunteers.
    • Making sure each age group is taken care of.
    • Make sure each age group has adequate room and facilities.
    • Choosing Curriculum.
    • Meeting with and training new volunteers.
    • Teaching when needed.
4.  Director of Wednesday Night Programs.
  • Responsible for:
    • Recruiting Volunteers.
    • Choosing Curriculum.
    • Meeting with and training workers. 
    • Make sure each age group has adequate room and facilities.
    • Teach when needed.
5. Vacation Bible School
  • Responsible for:
    • Planning and coordinating VBS with a team of volunteers.
    • Choosing curriculum.
    • Setting date.
    • Making sure all aspects of VBS are covered (i.e. food, publicity, music, crafts, games, safety, missions, etc.).
6.  Trunk or Treat.
  • Responsible for:
    • Planning and coordinating Trunk or Treat with a team of volunteers.
    • Setting date.
    • Making sure all aspects of Trunk or Treat are covered (i.e. food, candy, publicity, sign up for trunks, safety, etc.).
7.  Camp Pitt.
  • Responsible for:
    • Publicizing Camp and making camps dates known well in advance.
    • Help, if needed, in registering kids for camp.
8.  Conventions.
-   Responsible for:
  • Taking children to the Pre-Teen Convention (Ground Zero) in Newport News, VA put on by Student Ministries of Virginia.
  • Travel and hotel room arrangements.
  • Publicity and Registration.
  • Recruiting Chaperones.
9.  Kidz Club.
  • Responsible for:
    • Plan locations and events monthly or bi-monthly.
    • Recruit Volunteers.
10.  Weekly and Monthly Activities
  • Attend outside church activities of children.
    • Soccer
    • Piano Recitals
    • Dance Recitals
    • Dramas
    • Award Banquets
    • Other activities invited to by families
  • Teach classes regularly.
11.  Expectations, Office & Administrative work

Youth minister/Student minister director

The Stone Memorial Christian Church in Collinsville Virginia is currently seeking applications for a youth minister/student minister director (middle school through college age youth). Primary responsibility is to have a significant knowledge of the Scripture in order to teach Christ to Jr. High, High School and College age.


Starting annual salary shall be a minimum of $27,000 with final compensation commensurate with a combination of education and experience. SMCC has an excellent benefit package for all full time employees after a 90 day trial period and after one year service. Some of those benefits include a retirement IRA, vacation time, holiday pay, mileage and sick time.
