Children’s Director/Minister

Children’s Director/Minister

We are looking for someone who desires to minister to children and young families, who loves the Lord and will complement our staff as we minister to a dynamic and diverse group known as West Park.

Who is West Park?  We are a group of believers who seek to be a truly Christ-centered, genuinely undenominational, loving, spiritual family.  We want to bring praise to God through our worship, and to lift up Jesus through our evangelism and service.

We seek to be a leader in creating a family-based Children’s ministry in Portsmouth, Virginia.  We believe that parents are God’s original and most effective ministers, and that the church - as an extended family - should support parents in their responsibility to bring children up “in the nurture and admonition of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4).  We believe that a truly Biblical model of ministry will strengthen families and equip parents to be more effective in their work.

Moreover, in an increasingly age-segregated society we seek through this ministry to build and affirm intergenerational bonds.  We believe that God has placed all of us, whatever our age, in His spiritual family so that we might mutually support and encourage each other.  We want the West Park family to be known as a congregation where all ages are cherished and where opportunities are created for mutual service and love between the generations.

If you believe you are a capable candidate, we ask that you prayerfully submit your resume to: Paul Woolard, Elder West Park Church of Christ,woolybp@hotmail.com
