Binghamton is located in south central New York State. It is the connecting point of Routes I-81, I-88, and I-86.  The City of Binghamton, around 47, 000 in population, is the county seat of Broome County with a population of around 200,000.  It is the center of the county's communication, employment, commerce, culture and recreation.

Church Building:  The well-maintained Church building is of brick construction, located on nicely landscaped three acres of land at the junction of NY Route 12 and two county roads.  It is between two large subdivisions of residences and less that half a mile from the centralized school.  The center city of Binghamton itself is about 8 miles to the south.  The sanctuary, with a seating capacity of 200 is on the main level along with lobby, church offices, and restrooms.  An elevator was added in 2016.  The basement houses eight classrooms, kitchen, and fellowship area (folding doors create two separate large class rooms).  The basement also has ground level entrance at the rear of the building from the parking lot with a capacity for more than 55 cars.  The church owns no parsonage.  The building has open-access wifi.

Offices:  There are  two offices located adjacent to the lobby.  Presently the office tasks are performed by volunteers and we employ a  part-time Custodian.

Service Times:

Bible School    9:30 a.m.                 Morning Worship      10:45 a.m.

Brief History:  The Binghamton First Church of Christ (Christian) was begun in October,  1955, with a nucleus of four families meeting in the basement of one of the family's homes. Over the 61 years of existence, First Church has had eight ministers.  Nick Haner came to First Church in 2012. Prior to his ministry the church suffered a split so the last five years have been ones of  healing. During Nick’s ministry he and his young family became a beloved part of First Church. It is with the Lord’s leading and our blessing and support that he is now transitioning into a new full-time mission ministry. We are searching for a new minister to work beside us with God’s direction.
