Registration: 8:30 and 12:30

Advanced registration is required tuition is $35.00 per session or $65.00 for both sessions.

Lunch is not included.

Session 1: Ethics of Spiritual Integration: An exploration of the history of integrating spirituality into professional counseling, as well as ethical consideration and contraindications for including spirituality into counseling.

 History

 Ethical Considerations

 Objectives

  • To understand the history of Division 36 as well as implications of, ethical considerations of, and contraindications for the use spirituality in counseling practice
  • To learn the guidelines for practical application of spirituality in counseling

Session 2: Spiritual Interventions and Documentation: Topics addressed will include assessment of client spirituality, implementing a variety of interventions, how to appropriately document spirituality, implementing a variety of interventions, how to appropriately document spiritual interventions in progress notes, and practical application of spirituality in counseling.

  • To learn how to incorporate spiritual assessment into the diagnostic interview
  • To learn how to implement spiritual interventions appropriately and to document spiritual intervention in progress notes
  • To learn the guidelines for practical application of spirituality in counseling

Beth Hunter, LPC

Beth holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from Regent University. She is a certified E.M.D.R. Therapist and certified LPC supervisor. Beth has worked in private practice and has built a counseling/discipleship program in her church. She is also a published author with a 12-week Bible study entitled Forgive and Live.
