Can you play 100 holes of golf in 1 day?
Let's find out!
MACU is hosting a Golf Marathon on Wednesday, March 17
at The Pines Country Club on Highway 17 North in Elizabeth City
A golf marathon is slightly different from your regular tournament. You would be joining about 29 other players trying to play 100 holes of golf in a day. It is not as much about the score as it is the number of holes.
Why this format? The goal is for you to get friends, family members, church and business associates to sponsor you for each hole you play. All of the funds you raise will be applied to scholarships for needy students here at Mid-Atlantic Christian University.
There are great prizes for you as a participant according to how much you raise, from new golf apparel to golf packages at great courses along the East Coast. There is also a $10,000 hole-in-one cash prize!
If you would like more details please email keith.wood@macuniversity.edu or call 252.334.2034. There are limited spots available, and they will be given on a first come/first served basis.
I look forward to the great fellowship and great fun for a great cause March 17. You can then stay and enjoy the annual Gospel Rally and Homecoming on Thursday and Friday, March 18 and 19.
Please let me hear from you right away. Deadline to register is February 24, 2010.
Sincerely,
Keith
