Admissions International Dual Enrollment
Current international High school students may apply for admission as a dual-enrolled non-degree seeking student. Dual-enrolled students will not be permitted to enroll for more than six credits per semester. No more than 12 credit hours may be earned as a non-degree seeking student. Individuals who have earned 12 credit hours must meet application/admission requirements for degree seeking status to be eligible to enroll in additional hours.
1. Application for admission
Students may apply online
2. Application fee (fee is not refundable)
3. Reference form
Applicants must demonstrate good character. A Character Reference Form shall be completed by a current or former employer, supervisor, teacher, counselor, professor, minister, pastor or church leader who can attest to the applicant’s character. No family members may provide this reference. The online application will request the Applicant’s reference provider’s name, title, email address and phone number. The online application system will then email your reference provider with a short electronic form for them to complete. Please contact the Enrollment Director to provide alternatives to the online Character Reference form.
A short 250-500 word essay (one page) can be completed online or may be uploaded to the online application. A topic prompt is provided to assist you.
5. High school transcript
A current high school student should submit a secondary or high school transcript showing all course work completed to date. Transcripts should reflect a cumulative GPA.
6. SAT or ACT results
If available, applicants are to submit scores for the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or the Academic Competency Test (ACT). The minimum guidelines for acceptance are an SAT Composite score of 940; OR an ACT composite score of 18. MACU is a "test optional" university, however students who do not take the SAT or ACT will have significantly less MACU funded scholarship options available to them to offset the cost of their education.
7. Course Delivery and Tuition
Course delivery will be online only. Course offerings are restricted to 100 and 200 level courses. Tuition is $100.00 US per credit hour. Payment is expected at registration. If the student becomes a full time, on-campus residential student, all of the tuition paid by the student for his or her first 12 credit hours as a dual-enrolled student will be credited back to the student in his or her student account.
