*SAT score calculated using Verbal and Math components only (superscore accepted).  **High school GPA is calculated using the unweighted GPA.

Requirements:

  • Student must be "on campus" (live in the dorm and be on the MACU meal plan)
  • Full Tuition Scholarships:  limited to 4 years (8 semesters), maximum of 16 credit hours per semester and must maintain a cumulative 3.3 GPA. All other Academic Merit Scholarships:  limited to 4 years (8 semesters) and must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
  • Must be in a degree-seeking program
  • Awarded yearly with scholarship eligibility checked at the end of each semester.
  • College transfer students with no SAT/ACT scores awarded based on cumulative college GPA and the lowest SAT/ACT amounts. College transfer students must have a minimum of 24 earned, transferable college credits.

Procedures and deadlines:

  • Application deadline:  March 1
  • Awarding deadline:  March 15
  • Acceptance deadline:  April 1 (or 15 days from the award offer date)
  • Re-awarding:  April 15 (for any declined awards)
  • Acceptance of re-awards:  May 1 (or 15 days from the award offer date)
  • The one-time non-refundable $250 Scholarship Confirmation Fee must be sent in with the applicant's scholarship acceptance (can be applied towards housing charges).
  • Current high school applicant awards will be based on completed coursework/GPA (mid-year) and SAT/ACT scores.
  • Final official unweighted high school GPA will be used for previously graduated high school applicant.
  • Applicants must be fully accepted by the initial awarding deadline of March 15 to be considered for this scholarship. Limited number of scholarships awarded on a rolling acceptance up to the March 1 deadline.
