Education Loans

All Federal Stafford student loans and Federal PLUS parents loans are now processed with the Federal Direct Loan Program. Students and parents must do the required steps at www.studentloans.gov. A FAFSA PIN number is needed to sign into this website. A PIN can be requested here:  www.pin.ed.gov.

Non-federal (private, alternative) student education loans can be used to “bridge the gap” once all federal aid is used. Students may use any lender that offers this type of loan. Some lenders include:  Sallie Mae, SunTrust, Discover, and many others. The lender choice is up to the student. Please notify the MACU Financial Aid Office is using any non-federal loan.

Students are allowed to choose any lender they wish.
