How to apply for Financial Aid at MACU

If you believe that you may need financial assistance to attend Mid-Atlantic Christian University, so we encourage you to apply for financial aid using the steps listed below.

5 Simple Steps to Applying for Finacinal Aid at MACU

The FSA ID is a username and password that has replaced the FSA PIN. Your FSA ID confirms your idenity when you access your financial aid information, and allows you to electronically sign Federal Student Aid documents. Follow these steps to create your FSA ID.

  • A: Go to one of the following sites and click the link to create your FSA ID.,, or
  • B: Create a username and password
  • C: Enter your name, date of birth, Social Security Number, contact information, and challenge questions and answers.
  • D: If you have a Federal Student Aid PIN, you will be able to enter it and link it to your FSA ID. You can still create an FSA ID if you have forgotten or do not have a PIN.
  • E: Review your information and accept the terms and conditions.
  • F: Verify your email address and begin using your FSA ID.

The FREE Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a single form that opens up access to multiple grant and scholarship opportunities.

Here's how to complete the application:

  • A: Request an PIN from This will allow you to eletronically sign your online application and gain access to your personal record.
  • B: Gather the following information:
    • Social Security Numbers
    • 2014 Federal Income Tax Returns
    • Bank Statements
    • Brokerage Statements
  • C: Access and fill out the form using MACU’s School Code 014101
    Available online after Jan. 1, 2015.
    Students (and parents, when applicable) are encouraged to file their 2014 federal income taxes 2 weeks prior to filling out the FAFSA

    Double check your Social Security Number before submitting!

  • D: Inform MACU when you recieve your Student Aid Report
Each potential student applying to Mid-Atlantic Christian University is required to submit an applicant essay, and will not be rewarded any Finacial Aid until this is completed. Contact your Admissions Counselor for more information.
