Office Of The President

President Perkins MACUWelcome! As you discover, renew, or continue your relationship with Mid-Atlantic Christian University via this website, allow me to reflect on two truths we all cherish: God loves us, and God is faithful. We want to make known His love and faithfulness.

… to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night …

Psalm 92:2

For 67 years Mid-Atlantic has been educating ministers to serve in the churches and in the marketplace. We are a growing community of superior biblical higher education whose mission is to impact the world by transforming ordinary people into extraordinary Christian leaders.

IN GOD’S LOVE AND FAITHFULNESS MID-ATLANTIC HAS ALUMNI SERVING IN 48 STATES, THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, ONE TERRITORY, AND 25 COUNTRIES.  Our alumni are extraordinary leaders in both the church and the marketplace around the world. If you are considering one of the 19 degrees MACU offers, ask your admissions officer for the names of alumni who live in your area. Ask our alumni about the Mid-Atlantic family and the value of an education based upon Biblical truth. Ask them about their education built on the foundation of high academic standards and ethical principles.

IN GOD’S LOVE AND FAITHFULNESS MID-ATLANTIC OFFERS A QUALITY EDUCATION, FOCUSED ON MINISTRY, LED BY AN EXCEPTIONAL FACULTY.  Mid-Atlantic is regionally accredited, assuring that your education meets the highest standards. While our alumni serve in both the marketplace and the church, they all have one thing in common – they are all ministers. They serve! Each year at commencement, I give every graduate a towel to remind each one that leading like Christ is a position of service, as modeled by our exceptional faculty. MACU faculty know their students by name and genuinely care about them as persons.

IN GOD’S LOVE AND FAITHFULNESS MID-ATLANTIC IS A FAMILY.  We do not all look alike or even speak the same language, but we are family. We are a family connected by a common cord – our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Graduates are also given a spike to remind them of the high price that has been paid for their salvation. Redemption unites us as the universal family of God. And as a graduate of MACU, you also belong to a family within a family. We are Mid-Atlantic!

IN GOD’S LOVE AND FAITHFULNESS THERE IS ROOM FOR YOU AT MID-ATLANTIC.  So keep discovering more about Mid-Atlantic because there is room for you. Why not join us and become a part of the family who declare His love in the morning and His faithfulness at night?

I look forward to meeting you. I look forward to shaking your hand at graduation. God has extraordinary plans for you.

Serving those who serve,

D. Clay Perkins, Ph.D.

MACU SealThe seal of Mid-Atlantic Christian University depicts key features of the university. The shield reminds us of the shield of faith (Ephesians 6:16). The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, located on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, has been the university’s symbol from its founding. The open book, representing both God’s Word and academic excellence, reminds us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge (Proverbs 1:7) and that we, His children, should pursue excellence (1 Corinthians 10:31). The cross, shown in the center of the founding year – 1948 – indicates that honoring Christ and His Church is at the center of all the university does. - December 3, 2014
